Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson is close to joining Turkish giants Fenerbahçe in a surprise transfer before the summer window closes.
According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement with Fenerbahçe for a fee between €13 million and €14 million. The 32-year-old has also given his approval for the move through his agent.
Ederson, who joined City in 2017, has been linked with Galatasaray in Turkey and Saudi side Al-Nassr in recent months, but Fenerbahçe now look set to secure his signature.
After eight successful years at the Etihad, where he won multiple Premier League titles and the Champions League, Ederson is preparing for a new chapter in his career.
Reports also suggest City have already started looking for his replacement, with Paris Saint-Germain’s Gianluigi Donnarumma emerging as the leading candidate.
